This Privacy Policy explains how GrowGrowLocal ("GrowGrowLocal," "we," "us," or "our"), a California-based business, collects, uses, and shares information through the GrowGrowLocal Content Engine (the "App") — a marketing and social media content tool we provide to our customers as part of our website and marketing services.

If you are an agency partner, business owner, or team member using the App (collectively, "you" or "users"), this policy describes what information we collect about you and, where applicable, about the social media accounts you connect.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Contact Information

When your account is set up in the App, we store information such as:

Your name and email address (used to log in and identify your account).
For businesses using the App, a business contact email and phone number provided to us for account setup and communication.
Basic business details you or your GrowGrowLocal partner enter, such as business name, industry, brand colors, and logo.

1.2 Connected Social Media Account Information

The App integrates with a third-party service provider ("our social publishing provider") to let you connect and publish content to social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Google Business Profile. When you connect an account:

We store which platform and account you connected (e.g. account name) and a connection status.
Authentication is handled via OAuth through our social publishing provider — we do not see or store your social media password. Our provider holds the access token needed to publish on your behalf.
We may store metadata returned by the connected platform, such as follower counts, post engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, saves), and — where you've connected a Google Business Profile — publicly visible reviews and ratings, in order to display them back to you inside the App.

1.3 Content You Create

We store the marketing content you and your team create or approve in the App, including post drafts, captions, uploaded photos, AI-generated images/video, scheduling information, and approval history.

1.4 Technical & Usage Information

The App does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics scripts. We do use browser local storage strictly for functional purposes — to keep you securely logged in and to automatically sign you out after a period of inactivity for your account's security. This information stays on your device and is not used for tracking or advertising.

2. How We Use Information

To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features (content creation, scheduling, publishing, approvals, reporting).
To authenticate you and keep your account secure, including our automatic idle-timeout sign-out feature.
To publish approved content to the social media accounts you've connected, via our social publishing provider.
To generate AI-assisted marketing content (images, video, and copy) using the photos, prompts, and brand details you provide.
To display engagement metrics, follower counts, and reviews pulled from your connected accounts back to you inside your dashboard.
To send you account-related, transactional emails (e.g. password reset emails). We do not send marketing emails or newsletters through the App, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
To communicate with you about your account or provide customer support.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the App:

Social publishing provider: to connect your social accounts and publish content on your behalf, and to retrieve engagement metrics and reviews.
Authentication provider (Firebase/Google): to manage secure login and password-reset emails.
AI content-generation provider (Google AI): photos and prompts you submit for AI image/video/caption generation are sent to Google's AI services solely to generate that content; they are not used by us to build advertising profiles.
Your GrowGrowLocal partner/agency: if you are a client user, your assigned partner and GrowGrowLocal's own team can access your account's content and connected-account data in order to deliver the service.
Legal requirements: if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GrowGrowLocal, our users, or others.

4. Cookies & Tracking

The App does not currently set tracking cookies, use analytics scripts, or embed advertising pixels. Because no non-essential tracking occurs, no cookie consent banner is used. If this changes in the future (for example, if we add analytics), we will update this policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and consent controls.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and content information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App and comply with our legal obligations. If your account is closed, we will delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (e.g. billing history maintained outside the App).

6. Your Choices & Rights

You can disconnect any connected social media account at any time from within the App.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below.
If you are a California resident, see Section 7 for your specific rights under California law.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

GrowGrowLocal is based in California. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), gives you certain rights over the personal information we hold about you, including the right to:

Know what categories of personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and shared;
Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;
Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you; and
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell or "share" (as that term is defined under the CPRA, e.g. for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. To exercise any of the rights above, contact us using the information in Section 9. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Note: Some CCPA obligations apply only to businesses that meet certain revenue or data-volume thresholds. Regardless of whether those thresholds apply to us, we voluntarily extend the access, correction, and deletion rights described above to all California users of the App.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is a business tool intended for use by business owners, marketers, and agency staff. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
